**Job Summary:**

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility to meet the high standards of Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures Inc.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building.
  • Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes.
  • Assist in servicing, cleaning, and sanitizing the front lobby, office areas, restrooms, kitchen, cafeteria, and production areas.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly janitors' room, ensuring cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
  • Assist in identifying and reporting safety hazards to the Maintenance Lead or Safety Coordinator.

**Required Skills and Abilities:**

  • Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough approach to work.
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and orderly facility.
  • Ability to complete required paperwork accurately.

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

**Education and Experience:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous custodian or janitorial experience is preferred.
