About the Role:The Clinical Dietitian position at the Veterans Health Administration involves providing comprehensive nutrition care to veterans. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, veterans, and their caregivers to coordinate care and develop patient-centered goals. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interpret research and apply whole health principles.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care and develop patient-centered goals.
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) plans.
- Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness and outcomes of MNT interventions and modify the plan as needed.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and veterans to provide education and support.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
Applicants must be registered dietitians with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or non-credentialed dietitians who have fulfilled specific requirements. Additional qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, completion of an ACEND-accredited experiential or supervised practice program, and proficiency in written and spoken English.
