Job Title: Banquet Set Up Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Set Up Specialist to join our team at Holiday Inn Fargo. As a key member of our banquet and catering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the set up and break down process for each event, ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are in place.
  • Accommodate and anticipate guests' needs, responding promptly and professionally to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of AV equipment and banquet room items.
  • Clean meeting spaces, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, and wiping areas, before and after events.
  • Ensure that all banquet rooms are cleared and securely locked at the close of a function and at the end of the workday.
  • Setup audio and visual technology equipment using a tablet to control lights, music selection, volume, screens, and more.
  • May assist with plating and delivering meals to banquet guests.
  • Work with the hotel team to create and deliver a memorable service experience for guests.
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push, pull 25 lbs. or more.
  • Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
  • Task-driven individual who can work independently and as a team, ensuring the completion of each event's work order.
  • Basic knowledge of meeting room set up, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism.
  • Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to walk or stand for a majority of shift.
  • Able to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 75lbs intermittently throughout a shift.
  • Experience with AV equipment and various technology preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a composed, gracious, and professional attitude.
