Prevention Links Inc is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey.
Key ResponsibilitiesOur ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, and community resources. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized recovery plans that promote self-directed living and community integration.
- Providing education and support to individuals on navigating treatment and recovery support systems.
- Facilitating recovery support services that foster hope, empowerment, and skill-building.
- Maintaining relationships with individuals to ensure treatment engagement and retention.
- Advocating for community-based treatment and recovery initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of an associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Two years of experience in the guiding principles of recovery, with a focus on improving health and wellness, self-directed living, and community integration.
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) is preferred.
- Completion of 30-hour recovery coach training and 18-hour peer ethics training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
