BJC HealthCare is a designated critical access hospital committed to providing quality healthcare services to residents in Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties. The hospital has enhanced and expanded the healthcare services available to the greater Sullivan community with its state-of-the-art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multi-room surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center.

A 22,500 square-foot medical office building provides offices for primary care physicians as well as space for a variety of visiting medical and surgical specialists from the St. Louis area. BJC operates four rural health clinics providing quality healthcare to surrounding communities.

The six-bed Critical Care Unit - equipped with state-of-the-art cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring - cares for patients requiring critical care intervention for acute or potentially life-threatening ailments and surgical recoveries in private rooms. Our nursing staff strives to provide the highest quality care possible through ongoing education and training.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital. As a key member of our critical care team, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
  • Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
  • Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in professional development.
  • Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
  • Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing
  • No Experience
  • RN

  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
