Key Responsibilities:

YOUR OBJECTIVE:


Oversee the entire software development lifecycle for Functional Safety, ensuring alignment with project scope, budget, timeline, and quality benchmarks for Panasonic's software solutions.

Directs both on-site and remote development teams in the creation of new features, resolution of defects, and formulation of unit testing frameworks and test cases.

Utilizes advanced project management techniques, including planning, monitoring progress, and providing status updates to both internal and external stakeholders.


A DAY IN YOUR ROLE:


Facilitates and/or engages in discussions among Panasonic, suppliers, and clients for design evaluations and project tracking, while keeping the team and management informed about development activities, project timelines, costs, monthly budget forecasts, challenges, and risks.


Coordinates Functional Safety software development tasks with the Functional Safety manager, software architect, and other software teams, collaborating with engineering groups to assess requirements, design, and maintain Functional Safety features for infotainment projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables to various clients.

Responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, launching, and maintaining software projects.


Essential Qualifications:


A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; or at least ten (10) years of comprehensive embedded software development experience in electronic products.


At least two (2) years of experience leading a team of software engineers within a structured development methodology such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, or Extreme Programming.

Proficient in designing, developing, and debugging functional safety software in a real-time embedded context.


Familiarity with integrating or developing an integration framework using tools such as Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect, BOUML, or other UML modeling tools.

Knowledgeable in high-performance embedded Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Linux, Android, etc.


Understanding of Software Configuration Management (SCM) systems.


Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.


Familiarity with ISO26262 Automotive Functional Safety standards, processes, and tools.


Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows-based databases.
