Job Summary

The Transportation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school, as well as on activity/field trips.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with all relevant laws and regulations governing the operation of a school bus.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Operate District radio equipment to communicate with Transportation personnel while driving assigned routes.
  • Maintain discipline when students are on the bus and report unruly behavior to authorities.
Requirements
  1. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Hold a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) with passenger, school bus, and air brake endorsements.
  3. Have three years of documented safe driving experience preferred.
  4. Possess a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card within 45 days of employment.
  • Able to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications.
