At LUXOTTICA OF AMERICA INC, we are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient experiences through the selection, measurement, ordering, and fitting of eyewear.
Key Responsibilities:- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing a voice for peers and exploring patient needs and priorities.
- Takes and records measurements, adjusts or fits eyewear correctly, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and patient requirements.
- Assists peers with difficult or complex areas of product needs and prescriptions.
- Utilizes practice tools and adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Anticipates problems, explores underlying reasons, and strives to develop long-term solutions to problems and ensures patients are satisfied and expectations are exceeded.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Active state optical licensure; must maintain license.
- Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Sales skills, including the ability to use and carry a tablet.
- Embraces new technology and change.
- Previous eyecare and/or customer service experience.
- Familiarity with technology, such as point-of-sale, patient record systems, and other software applications.
