Job Overview

As a Mixologist at Colonial Downs Group LLC, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our patrons as they indulge in our diverse array of beverages and cocktails. Your primary responsibilities will include expertly crafting drinks while ensuring a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests. Additionally, you will maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring it is well-stocked at all times. Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, efficiently serving multiple patrons during busy hours.
  • Maintain a tidy bar top, manage waste disposal, and prepare fresh garnishes and mixers from scratch.
  • Verify the age of guests who appear to be under the legal drinking age, ensuring compliance with all beverage service regulations.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, providing change to guests and servers as needed.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks of the liquor cabinet and request replenishments as necessary.
  • Participate in special events and projects as directed by management, ensuring proper bar setup and cleanliness.
  • Stay informed about drink recipes, pricing, and garnishing techniques.
  • Adhere to scheduled breaks and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards by refraining from eating, smoking, or chewing gum in the bar area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the bar operations.

Compliance and Regulatory Responsibilities:

  • Attend mandatory training sessions provided by the company.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary licenses.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations regarding beverage service.
  • Monitor the gaming area to prevent underage gambling and alcohol consumption.
  • Familiarize yourself with company policies related to responsible gaming.
  • Report any suspicious activities or violations promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a casino or hospitality setting preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Completion of Bartender Training or relevant experience.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
