Arnold Machine Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality automated equipment, is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer. This role involves working closely with the Engineering Team, Project Team Leaders, and other sales and operations team members.
The Senior Buyer will report directly to the Director of Operations and play a key role in enhancing the purchasing department. Key responsibilities include procurement, reporting, vendor performance management, production meetings, leadership skills, and collaboration with accounts payable and receiving.
Responsibilities- Procurement: Receive approved project BOMs from project team leaders to quote and procure, assisting managers in establishing strategic purchasing processes, procedures, and prioritizing tasks. Build and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate pricing and contracts, and analyze purchasing trends.
- Reporting: Maintain ERP system and corresponding reports, including PO lists and BOMs with relevant details. Review and analyze regular procurement reports to follow up on open orders, receipts, and resolve issues. Track, report, and confirm estimated delivery dates.
- Vendor Performance: Review vendor performance to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities. Maintain vendor scorecards and report performance to management.
- Production Meetings: Attend weekly production meetings to provide project procurement status.
- High school diploma required; business degree preferred.
- OEM procurement management experience with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
- First Shift, Monday-Friday (40 hours/week).

Salary: $60,000-$80,000 per year (estimated).
