We are currently looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate will possess the skills necessary to conduct both proactive and reactive maintenance tasks at various properties. A strong understanding of all aspects of building upkeep and proficiency in performing minor repairs is essential for this role. Professionalism and effective communication skills are also critical.

The Maintenance Team is tasked with managing our extensive portfolio of properties, conducting various inspections (annual, security deposit, turnover planning), and addressing all maintenance requests from tenants. The team performs minor repairs directly while coordinating with third-party service providers (electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, painters, cleaners, roofers, etc.) for more complex issues. Advising property owners on the best repair strategies and preventive measures is also a key responsibility. We uphold a fiduciary duty to our clients while fostering positive relationships with tenants and vendors. Our approach balances fairness with empathy, ensuring tenant satisfaction aligns with the interests of property owners.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range of $50,000 - $75,000 based on experience
  • 15 days of paid time off (PTO)

Compensation:

$50,000 - $75,000 annually based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Plumbing repairs
  • Electrical repairs
  • Painting and patching
  • Appliance repair and installation
  • HVAC maintenance
  • Debris removal
  • Changing lock sets
  • Installing smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers
  • Landscaping tasks
  • Replacing hinges and adjusting doors
Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Clean driving record
  • Clear criminal background
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician, tradesperson, or contractor
  • Comfortable using specialized equipment (e.g., dump trailer, tractor)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Availability for on-call duties
  • Good physical condition and strength
  • Willingness to work outside of standard business hours as required
