We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Fire Door Inspector to join our team at D.H. Pace Company, Inc. in Seattle, WA.

Job Summary:

The Commercial Fire Door Inspector will be responsible for leading our Compliance Program, promoting our values-based service philosophy, and providing code-compliant solutions to our customers' door-related needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field inspections to determine pass/fail based on codes and standards.
  • Submit reports of findings and attach QR code stickers as required.
  • Take photos of openings and deficiencies as needed.
  • Upload inspection findings daily and make adjustments to bring openings into compliance.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure job sites are clean and clear of debris.
  • Complete job tickets and timesheets accurately and submit them in a timely manner.
  • Collect CODs when applicable and communicate with management if issues arise.
  • Update inspection records post-repair.
  • Perform physical tasks such as ascending/descending ladders, standing for long periods, and climbing stairs.
  • Work in various temperatures, heights, and safety hazards.
  • Travel as required.
Requirements:
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Average ability to operate a computer, phone, and other productivity devices.
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and applying commercial building codes and standards is a plus.
  • Commercial door, frame, and hardware experience is a plus but not required.
