Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Advanced Integration Technology (AIT). As a Welder, you will be responsible for operating various equipment to assemble mechanical structures and parts with precision, ensuring the foundation for strong infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate hand and power tools, including shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, slings, grinders, cutting torches, and other equipment.
  • Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux according to welding chart specifications.
  • Fill holes, cut, contour, and bevel metal plates and structural shapes to dimensions as specified.
  • Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or splatter using hand scrapers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts as necessary.
  • Tig & Mig Weld components using various materials such as Aluminum, Steel, and Invar.
Requirements
  • Associates or Technical School preferred.
  • One to Three years experience with MIG & TIG welding and fabrication processes.
  • Welding Certificates.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a production environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens, small and/or enclosed spaces, cuts and/or burns, dirt, dust, grease and/or oil, noisy environment, intense bright light, extreme cold or heat, metal shavings, and commercial chemicals.

Physical Demands

This role requires medium work, including moving objects up to 50 pounds, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms, and prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.

Security Clearance
