We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Yavapai Regional Medical Center - East. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Multi-Care Unit (MCU), which includes Medical ICU, PCU, and MST patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with sepsis, suicide attempts, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, COVID, DKA, blood pressure or heart rate abnormalities, and post-op complications.
- Monitor and manage patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate.
- Administer medications, including titratable drips, and perform various medical procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in charge nurse responsibilities, including managing 50 inpatient beds and supervising Remote Monitor Techs for PCU and MST patients.
- At least 2 years of ICU experience or 1 year of ICU and 1 year of PCU/Med-Surg experience in larger facilities with strong skills.
- RN must take 12-lead EKG and monitor patients per bedside Cardiac monitor.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
