About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal UX Designer to join our award-winning design team at Walmart. As a Principal UX Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of retail by creating richly compelling experiences that improve the daily lives of millions of customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Distill complex problems into easy-to-understand experiences, creating content that is purposeful for our customers, associates, suppliers, and partners worldwide.
- Create and champion the highest quality content, helping drive the development of foundational tools, frameworks, and resources that allow the team to scale efficiently and deliver excellent, consistent, and compelling work.
- Collaborate with design, product, and business partners to positively shape products and foster an inclusive associate experience with your artful use of voice, content best practices, and end-to-end UX strategies.
- Employ your great strengths in storytelling to present your vision and content rationale in a compelling, convincing manner to the wider team and leadership.
Requirements
- A demonstrated track record working cross-functionally, shipping successful product copy in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience facilitating workshops and aligning stakeholders through the use of sound rationale, finding opportunities to bring out the best in people and flex to the needs of the program by refining the messaging.
- A deep appreciation for systems thinking and a keen understanding of information architecture, both from a design and content lens.
- The ability to produce great work in short timeframes, multi-task across different projects and platforms, and adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the business.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 5 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
- 7 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
- Design certification, driving product development in a user experience area, Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area, related industry experience, or UI/UX, Interactive and Visual Design, Electronics Art, Multimedia Design, or related area.
