Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our esteemed healthcare team in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our residents while working in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized speech-language therapy treatment plans
  • Conduct audiometric screenings and provide recommendations for audiology services
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident care
  • Provide therapy services for residents with memory impairments
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
  • Educate families and caregivers on communication strategies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives


Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid New York State SLP license
  • Clinical Competence Certification from ASHA (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
