Job Title: Vocational Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Specialist to join our team at HealthPort, a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center. As a Vocational Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting clients find gainful employment and providing training and job coaching to help them achieve their career goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop employment opportunities for clients through direct solicitation of employers.
  • Assess clients' readiness and employment skills.
  • Provide training and job coaching to help clients prepare for employment.
  • Assist clients with resume writing and preparing for job interviews.
  • Serve as a liaison to the business community and advocate for clients as employees.
  • Input data into electronic medical records and follow through on services to their completion.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and supported employment experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Valid full driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the psychosocial and vocational rehabilitation process.
  • Experience in the vocational field required.
