Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to our Whole Life Systems Engineering division. In this role, you will conduct specialized engineering assessments on various products, which may encompass logistics support analysis, obsolescence assessments, and reliability evaluations. Your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping the design and architecture of systems, ensuring a balance between performance, safety, maintainability, supportability, testability, and cost-effectiveness throughout the product lifecycle.

The Whole Life Engineering team is integral to systems engineering activities, including trade studies, use case development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and validation and verification of requirements. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to guarantee seamless integration and continuity throughout the design and development process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform core systems engineering tasks alongside specialized assignments as necessary.
  • Manage obsolescence, develop logistics plans, and conduct supportability analyses.
  • Execute reliability, maintainability, and availability assessments.
  • Conduct system safety analyses and failure modes and effects analyses.
  • Engage in human factors analysis and packaging, handling, storage, and transportation activities.
  • Develop technical manuals and training materials, along with necessary technical reports and schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience in Parts Obsolescence management and DMSMS analysis per DoD SD-22.
  • Proficient in analyzing technical data to provide lifecycle management recommendations.
  • Familiarity with statistical theory and modeling.
  • Knowledge of reliability modeling in accordance with industry standards.

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management capabilities.
  • Experience in product design and understanding of software development lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with various military standards and practices.
  • Experience with US Government airworthiness processes and certification boards.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field. A Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of engineering experience.
