Shipping and Receiving Department Supervisor

This position oversees the shipping and receiving department, responsible for handling materials, adhering to safety procedures, and ensuring timely shipments.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise sales associates and train new employees.
- Maintain systems data, forms, files, and reports in accordance with store policies.
- Ensure the shipping/receiving area has adequate supplies and materials.
- Establish relationships with publishers and verify item prices.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Record receipt of shipments and complete shipping logs.
- Unload trucks or pallets, pack and affix shipping labels, and prepare inter-store transfer forms.
- Direct customers to products and answer routine inquiries.
- Lead efforts to reduce in-store shrink activity through Asset Protection education.
