Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Coast Dental and Orthodontics in Killeen, TX. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality dental hygiene services.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough dental hygiene assessments and create personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Implement standard of care therapy and assist dentists in providing hygiene, periodontal, and dental care and treatment.
  • Provide oral and overall health care education and instruction to patients.
  • Assess patients' teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues for abnormalities or suspected diseases or conditions.
  • Perform scaling and root planing, full mouth debridement, and other periodontal therapies as needed.
  • Place locally administered antibiotics and implement irrigation and desensitizing procedures or products.
  • Position and expose dental and carpal radiographic film and sensors.
  • Perform in-office whitening procedures and apply cavity-preventive agents.
  • Make recommendations for patients' re-care intervals and follow-up needs.
Requirements
  • Licensed and in good standing with the state of Texas.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
  • Ability to work well as a member of the total dental team and partner with the dentist.

Our dental office is a clean and well-lit environment where you will work closely with our dental team to provide exceptional patient care. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, surgical masks, full arm length gowns/lab coats, and gloves, to protect yourself and patients from infectious diseases.
