Nurse - Outpatient Surgery Facility

The Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is expected to operate within a primary nursing role at the facility. This position allows the Registered Nurse to collaborate effectively as part of a team in an ASC setting, including cross-training in various essential areas such as assisting with turnover and supporting daily ASC operations. Additionally, the RN is responsible for managing the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients within the ASC.

Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree (2 Year) is required; graduation from an accredited nursing program is mandatory. A Bachelor's Degree (4 Year) is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in an ASC, PACU, or operating room setting is preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: A current RN license in the relevant state is required. ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
- Essential Skills: A comprehensive understanding of the RN role and the ability to execute the responsibilities outlined in the NC nurse practice act. Proficiency in prioritizing and organizing unit workload. Knowledge and skills to adapt care based on the patient's age-specific needs. Competence in telephone screening and interviewing.
