Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled School Psychologist to join our team in Cromwell, CT. This full-time position will involve working with elementary students, providing psychological services, and collaborating with educators and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments for students in elementary grades to identify areas of need and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to support students' mental health and well-being, promoting positive relationships with teachers and peers.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement interventions and accommodations, ensuring students receive the support they need to thrive.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring their unique requirements are met.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed and help develop behavioral plans for students, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Offer consultation and training to school staff regarding student mental health, behavior management, and academic support, enhancing their skills and confidence.
Requirements
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology is required, along with active state licensure as a School Psychologist in Connecticut.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in a school setting, is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement planning, and opportunities for professional growth and development, will also be provided.
