Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Advisor to join our team at Hendrick Automotive Company. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with customers and technicians to identify and document service, maintenance, and repair needs. You will also be responsible for scheduling service appointments, advising customers on necessary and recommended services, and offering additional services and repairs.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also be knowledgeable about the mechanical operations of vehicles and have a strong understanding of customer service principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers and technicians to identify and document service, maintenance, and repair needs
  • Schedule service appointments and advise customers on necessary and recommended services
  • Offer additional services and repairs to customers
  • Compute cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by customer
  • Estimate cost of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs
  • Enter itemized estimate on service order and explain estimate to customer
  • Schedule appointments with customer
  • Meet dealership's standards for repair and order production
  • Maintain CSI at or above Company standards
  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Participate in required training
  • Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
  • Follow Safeguards rules and regulations
  • Demonstrate the Company's Core Values
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures
  • Observe all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in automotive or customer service industries
  • Working knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability and knowledge of the Dealership Management System and other web-based applications utilized for operations

Work Environment:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with customers, service managers, and service technicians.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service repair conditions.
