Job Summary

Raleigh Radiology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality MR studies to outpatients and ensuring the coordination of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MR studies in a safe, efficient, and professional manner, adhering to established protocols and policies.
  • Assess patient condition, prioritize needs, and respond appropriately to meet those needs, including discharge teaching.
  • Administer contrast to assigned patients and assist with specific tests and procedures as needed.
  • Participate in economical utilization of supplies and ensure equipment is always maintained and available for use.
  • Establish and maintain open communication with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure continuous quality patient care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including scheduling and registration of patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or commiserate experience with ARRT registration.
  • Previous experience in a busy office or hospital is preferred.
  • AHA BLS certification is required or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, RT(R)(ARRT), at time of hire.
  • Registered in MRI with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, RT(R)(MR)(ARRT) preferred upon hire.
Desired Skills
  • Basic patient care skills, including first aid and BLS.
  • Excellent technical skills in MR.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions based on patient condition, and ability to follow directions.
  • Flexibility, dependability, and professionalism.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Must be able to read without strain printed material the size of typewriter characters, glasses permitted, and the ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, or the ability to compensate satisfactorily.

May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases. Frequent, prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Lifts, positions, pushes or transfers patients. Lifts and moves supply boxes. Subject to rotating holidays or shifts.
