We learn from our diverse nursing family and collaborate with our Nurses at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital.Job Summary and QualificationsThe Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocates for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions during admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Execute procedures or other functions as directed by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
- Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Qualifications:
- Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Associate Degree.
