Procurement Strategist

The Sourcing Industry Group is seeking a highly skilled Director of Technical Sourcing to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for supporting and managing the procurement process for our Engineering and Product teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Engineering and Product teams with daily duties involving new and ongoing requests and serve as a key contact.
- Define, coordinate, and support the end-to-end process for Engineering and Product BOM's into Sitetracker for demand planning.
- Drive continuous strategic partnerships with current and new suppliers.
- Negotiate, redline, and manage contracts across assigned departments with a focus on all key contractual commercial terms and conditions.
- Evaluate, analyze, and improve supplier alternatives, qualifications, and product specification procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with suppliers during the technical review and clarification phase and develop solutions for highly complex supplier challenges.
- Manage new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material and product flow.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop scorecards and metrics to measure procurement performance and suppliers.
- Design and implement business strategies adapted to changing conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
- Drive organizational change management.
- Develop and implement new business processes for vendor selection while meeting short and long-term needs.
- Ensure adherence to purchasing policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with internal customers, stakeholders, and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, information technology, or a related field required (Master's preferred).
- 5 years of professional experience in a leadership role.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain complete confidentiality.
- Ability to work cooperatively and as a member of a team and display interpersonal awareness.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in USRC.
- Experience with Salesforce, Sitetracker, or Dynamics 365 a plus.
- Strong analytical background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English) to interact with vendors, team members, senior management, and external business partners.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Industry-related experience preferred.
