We are recruiting a pool of highly motivated and qualified candidates to teach part-time courses for the Photography program. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis for the 2024-2025 academic school year.

This position is responsible for instruction in the Photography program at the college level. You will develop relevant and progressive curriculum, design and implement effective learning strategies and environments, deliver high-quality instruction, assess student learning, advise students, and participate in college service activities.

The following duties are typically expected of this position:

  • Responsible for instruction in the Photography program, including courses such as Portrait Photography, Commercial Photography, Studio Photo 1, and Advanced Portrait Photography.
  • Develop and plan appropriate instructional strategies, including hybrid, face-to-face, and online course delivery.
  • Participate in in-service meetings, convocation training, staff development training, or other activities requested by the Department.
  • Assist and advise students who have problems with assignments, tests, grades, course content, career concerns, and other academic matters.
  • Comply with college policies regarding student testing, record keeping, advanced standing, providing grades on a timely basis, evaluating student performance, and maintaining office hours for student assistance and counseling.
  • Maintain competencies as an instructor aligned with the Faculty Quality Assurance System.

In addition, you will assist students in developing work experience assignments, demonstrate a commitment to the college's mission, vision, and values, and interact with business and industry to establish partnerships.

Required qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Photography and six years or 12,000 hours of work experience in Commercial Photography.
