The Marion County Court of Common Pleas, Family Division is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Probation Officer to join our Juvenile Probation Department.
As a Probation Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of youth and families involved with our Court.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each youth.
- Conduct regular meetings and contacts with youth in the office, field, and community locations to monitor progress and provide support.
- Collaborate with service providers, schools, and other justice system partners to ensure continuity of care and effective case management.
- Enforce court orders and ensure youth compliance with probation requirements.
- Conduct pre-dispositional investigations and submit reports to the presiding Judge.
- Investigate and verify information provided by youth as needed.
- Conduct OYAS assessments and provide recommendations for case planning.
- Prepare written probation violation reports and/or violation of Court orders.
- Testify in various court hearings as required.
Requirements:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and hours as needed.
