Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier at Lowe's. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Operate a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines.
  • Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Monitor merchandise entering and leaving the store entrances and exits and assist customers or associates who trigger the alarm.
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and working areas.
Requirements
  • Less than 1 year of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store.
  • 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees.
Pay Range

$24.50 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
