Pharmacy Technician Role in Patient-Centered Care

About the JobThis role plays a vital part in managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of safe, effective, and patient-focused drug therapy. The successful candidate will prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist and work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
ResponsibilitiesThe pharmacy technician will be responsible for:
- Managing the drug distribution system, ensuring timely and accurate dispensing of medications
- Providing technical support to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals in all aspects of drug therapy
- Preparing medications under the direction of a pharmacist, adhering to strict quality control guidelines
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent mathematics skills, including ability to accurately count and measure medication
