CIMCO Refrigeration is seeking a highly skilled and organized Industrial Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. As a regional/field employee, you will work closely with our Regional Service Manager and existing personnel, as well as our Engineering and Automation group.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintain industrial refrigeration systems in various industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, gas compression, chemical plants, cold storage, and recreational ice rink facilities.
- Adhere to and follow company safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage and maintain truck and job boxes in an accurate and neat manner, along with truck inventory.
- Available to travel 25% of the time.
- Basic computer skills, including electronic documentation.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, suppliers, and co-workers.
- Minimum 1-2 years of field experience.
- RETA 1 & 2 certification is a plus (candidate is expected to obtain certifications).
- Universal EPA certification is an asset (candidate is expected to obtain certifications).
- Working knowledge of reciprocating, screw compressors, electrical troubleshooting, and common types of industrial refrigeration and/or gas compression experience.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Industrial and commercial refrigeration experience is required.
- Previous experience with ammonia refrigerant is an asset.
