Tax Director

The Director of Tax will lead the tax department in collaboration with the CFO to maximize the effectiveness of Pyrotek's domestic and international tax functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax strategy and planning, with experience in leading tax teams and developing tax minimization strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute tax strategies that align with business objectives and operations
- Lead tax efforts, including due diligence and structuring related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
- Improve all aspects of corporate tax operations, including tax compliance and reporting
- Provide mentorship to the local tax department team and monitor performance to ensure optimum outcomes
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or related field required, Master's Degree in Taxation preferred
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressive experience in accounting and tax, in a top 10 accounting firm or a multi-national entity
- Preparation and review of US corporate tax filings in an international and multi-state environment and Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 740 experience required
- Supervisory, leadership, management experience and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international tax laws
- Experience with Individual, Estate and Gift tax rules and filings
- Strategic tax planning and risk management experience
- Leadership and management experience in a tax team
Pyrotek offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including relocation benefits for the right candidate. The minimum and maximum hourly range for this full-time position is $180,904 - $271,356 + benefits.
