Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and Support: Closely observe each child to understand their physical, intellectual, and emotional needs, and provide individualized support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Prepare the Environment: Create a beautiful and orderly environment that encourages concentration, independence, and deep learning, and is tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Cultivate Independence: Help children develop the skills and confidence they need to become independent learners, and provide opportunities for them to take ownership of their learning.
  • Provide Lessons and Support: Deliver individual and small-group lessons to support each child's development in practical skills, literacy, math, and other areas, and provide additional support as needed.
  • Build Relationships: Form strong relationships with each child and their families, and work collaboratively with parents to provide the best possible support for each child.
Requirements
  • Montessori Training: Pursue certified Montessori training through our Prepared Montessorian Institute (fully-sponsored) or have previously obtained a Montessori diploma for 3-6.
  • Experience Working with Children: Have experience working with children ages 3-6 in a group setting, such as daycare, aftercare, or preschool.
  • Familiarity with Child-Led Philosophies: Have familiarity with child-led philosophies such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori, and be open to learning more.
