Primary Duties of a Housekeeping Aide:

  • Conducting regular cleaning activities, which include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in resident quarters, communal areas, and administrative offices.
  • Sanitizing frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and handrails, to mitigate the transmission of germs.
  • Disposing of waste properly by emptying trash bins in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assisting with laundry responsibilities, encompassing washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and personal garments.
  • Keeping track of cleaning supplies and alerting supervisors when restocking is necessary.
  • Working collaboratively with fellow staff members to ensure all cleaning tasks are executed efficiently and promptly.
  • Engaging in training sessions focused on cleaning methodologies, safety practices, and infection prevention strategies.
