Position Summary

As the Retail Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of Retail in implementing operational excellence across all retail functions, including human resources and financial management. Your focus will be on establishing procedural standards and enhancing the customer experience, while working closely with the Director of Retail to achieve and surpass sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Retail, Store Managers, and HR to recruit, train, and develop a retail team that exemplifies exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and ability to execute core operational standards.
  • Leverage extensive experience in retail management to shape customer interactions through a deep understanding of products and service excellence.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Manage merchandise planning, purchasing, and inventory control based on sales trends, including assortment planning and vendor relations.
  • Oversee operational accountability, including store hours, profit and loss management, and financial performance reporting.
  • Facilitate training programs focused on customer service and loss prevention, ensuring consistent messaging across the team.
  • Supervise the physical inventory process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
  • Ensure proper receiving and distribution of merchandise, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies in collaboration with the Director of Retail.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and sanitation standards.
  • Review staffing schedules to meet labor budget targets.
  • Hold team members accountable for delivering outstanding guest service.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that enhances productivity and team morale.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards team members and promote a supportive workplace culture.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail or sales environments.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed, including nights and weekends.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying shifts and schedules.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and extensive standing.
