Pediatric Child Life Specialist

Join our team of compassionate professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to pediatric patients and their families. As a Pediatric Child Life Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping children and their families cope with the challenges of a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide developmental, educational, and therapeutic interventions to help children and their families manage stress and anxiety related to medical care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each child and family.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Provide education and support to parents and caregivers on topics such as child development, behavioral management, and coping strategies.
  • Participate in professional development and education to stay current on best practices in child life.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Child Life Specialist by the Child Life Certifying Commission.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid State of Florida driver's license with a driving record acceptable to Community Hospice insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Child Development, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients and families in a hospital or hospice setting.
