State Hospital South (SHS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health disorders.

• Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Assist with group and individual therapy sessions, including psychosocial treatment and behavioral interventions.
• Monitor and report changes in patient behavior and health, including vital signs and sleep patterns.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate.
• Some knowledge of human services, including psychology, nursing, or social work.
• Experience with behavior management for individuals diagnosed with mental illness and developmental disabilities.
