Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Operator to join our team at Ingredion. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our manufacturing equipment, ensuring the highest quality products are produced while meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, including mechanized equipment, to ensure efficient and safe production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, inspecting and fixing problems as needed.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor production from the control room, using computer systems to track and analyze production data.
  • Sample and test products to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Prepare and load/unload railcars and trucks, as well as pack and inspect bags, totes, sacks, and drums.
  • Filling tanks or transferring product as necessary, performing tasks of varying physical demand.
  • Maintain inventory and handle the movement of chemicals, following safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as required, including continuous learning of new job duties and positions.
Requirements
  • Operator level 1 or higher experience in manufacturing and production.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice and Food Safety.
  • Ability to work in potentially loud and strong odorous environments, with varying physical demands.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, stand and walk for sustained periods, climb stairs and ladders, bend, reach, push, pull, and enter tanks.
  • Computer literate and SAP experience a plus.
  • Able to develop and apply mechanical/problem-solving skills, preferred.
  • Forklift experience a plus or ability to get forklift certification, required.
