About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at Novant Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and registered nurses in the operating room, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Monitor and maintain patient safety, reporting any concerns or issues to the surgical team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D - Operating Room Specialist) preferred.
  • Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
  • Current Surgical Tech Certification preferred.
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing.
  • Effective and appropriate customer service skills, verbal and nonverbal communication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, and time management skills.
