TalentFish is seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Expert to join our team. This is a direct hire role that requires occasional visits to our office located in a major metropolitan area.

The Workday Finance Specialist will serve as an IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) across the Finance business domain with our premier client. They will be accountable for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the systems under their charge and for supporting and implementing change and configuration management, including testing and defect management relating to new product implementations, development releases, upgrades, patches, and other system maintenance as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise related to the Workday Financial Management system, creating reports, integrations, and other technical deliverables.
  • Support and lead project activities, including data mapping, completion of complex translation tables, reviewing conversion balancing and reconciliation reports, implementation of a new application, system functionality, or integration.
  • Support line of business process improvement and efficiency initiatives, system tuning and optimization, and supporting change management and product/project implementation.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and training, and develop best practice processes and procedures.
  • Evaluate new releases/functionality and monitor application road maps and support bulletins.
  • Stay up to date on current and changing business and technological environments, trends, and strategy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of related experience with Workday Finance.
  • Workday accreditation (certification) in Workday Integrations and Studio is strongly desired.
  • Advanced level experience in the following technologies or similar:
  • Digital and Mobile Banking Platforms
  • Lending Solutions
  • General ledger, Reconciliation, and/or ERP systems
  • Proficiency in one or more database system (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
  • SQL Server (SSIS, SSMS, SSRS, and SSAS) to support reporting and integration
  • Microsoft technologies (SQL, Azure, Office 365,.NET)
  • Application Programming Interfaces (API) and microservices technologies
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • ServiceNow
  • Knowledge on file transfer software would be a plus
  • MuleSoft middleware
  • Upgrading finance applications
