Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct examinations to evaluate animal health and diagnose conditions.
  • Administer treatment and care for wounds.
  • Perform surgical procedures on animals.
  • Conduct tests and provide vaccinations against diseases.
  • Utilize medical equipment, including x-ray machines.
  • Advise pet owners on general care, medical issues, and treatment options.
  • Prescribe medications as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree is required.
  • Licensure in the relevant state is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated compassion for both animals and their owners.
  • Exceptional dexterity in handling animals during precise procedures.
  • Ability to make quick decisions under pressure regarding animal welfare.
  • Strong affinity for and understanding of animal behavior.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing medical technologies for diagnosis, research, and surgical procedures.
