Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct examinations to evaluate animal health and diagnose conditions.
- Administer treatment and care for wounds.
- Perform surgical procedures on animals.
- Conduct tests and provide vaccinations against diseases.
- Utilize medical equipment, including x-ray machines.
- Advise pet owners on general care, medical issues, and treatment options.
- Prescribe medications as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree is required.
- Licensure in the relevant state is mandatory.
- Demonstrated compassion for both animals and their owners.
- Exceptional dexterity in handling animals during precise procedures.
- Ability to make quick decisions under pressure regarding animal welfare.
- Strong affinity for and understanding of animal behavior.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in utilizing medical technologies for diagnosis, research, and surgical procedures.
