At Pediatric Therapeutic Services, Inc., we are seeking a skilled School Health Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a School Health Nurse Specialist, you will provide essential nursing services to students, ensuring their health and well-being. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing school health nurse services and primary care services to students
  • Evaluating and treating individual physical conditions of students and referring to appropriate resources as needed
  • Conducting health assessments, including history, screenings, and findings
  • Providing instruction in the maintenance of good health and disease prevention
  • Promoting and assisting in the control of communicable diseases
  • Interpreting health status of students to parents and school personnel
  • Maintaining student health data/files
  • Monitoring compliance of school health program with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies
  • Assisting with mandated reports to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE)

As a School Health Nurse Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering holistic, comprehensive, education-based therapy services. Our team is committed to changing the way we help children access their full education and reach their potential.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • RN or LPN State License
  • Valid PA certificate as a School Nurse
  • Child Abuse, State, and Federal Clearances

We offer competitive rates with compensation for direct and indirect time, including treatment sessions, documentation, meeting attendance, and report writing. This is a 1099 Independent contracting position, allowing for greater flexibility. We provide consistent on-site and off-site mentorship with Clinical Directors and Team Leaders. Our School-Based Academy offers support and community for new School-Based therapists, and our Lending Library provides access to testing tools and assessments for therapists to borrow as needed.
