Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Surveillance Officer is responsible for safeguarding assets and ensuring the operational integrity of the organization through the use of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and vigilant floor monitoring. This role is crucial in providing a secure environment for both employees and visitors.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience in surveillance is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of casino operations, including game rules, payouts, and protection measures, is preferred.
  • Exceptional skills in customer service, communication, organization, and documentation are essential.
  • Familiarity with Gaming Control Board Regulations is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work any day and shift is required.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong mathematical skills are important.

Note: Candidates with relatives employed in cash handling, casino, or guest-related roles at Rubico Acquisition Corp are not eligible to apply.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate all surveillance apparatus, including VCRs, monitors, switchers, computers, controllers, and cameras.
  • Conduct CCTV and personal surveillance across all departments to ensure adherence to established laws, regulations, policies, and internal controls.
  • Maintain attendance standards and comply with regulatory, departmental, and organizational policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB DEMANDS:

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while monitoring multiple CCTV screens.
  • Capacity to observe and recall specific details of incidents and individuals.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in operating surveillance equipment such as VCRs, monitors, switches, computers, controllers, and cameras.
  • Ability to provide court testimony when required and to prepare detailed reports.
  • Willingness to work overtime or adjust shifts on short notice.
  • Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to navigate and work in confined spaces.
  • Capability to remain calm during crises and high-pressure situations.
  • Tolerance for environments with secondhand smoke, elevated noise levels, bright lighting, and dust.
  • Ability to work effectively in low-light conditions.
