This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to supervise inmates and ensure the efficient operation of the food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Inmates: Train and direct inmates in food preparation and tray assembly, ensuring they adhere to production guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Food Preparation and Service: Participate in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring timely and efficient service while maintaining Aramark standards.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in conducting inventory, receiving, and storing food and food-related items, and requisitioning orders as needed.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure the sanitation of the facility and maintain personal safety by conforming to all standards and regulations.
  • Training and Development: Train workers in methods of performing duties and assign and coordinate work to promote the efficiency of operations.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of food prep or related work preferred, with previous supervisory experience and experience interacting with inmates a plus.
  • Certifications: Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
  • Skills: Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members, exercise good judgment and tact, and follow basic safety procedures and policies.
