We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton Harrisonburg. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Transactions: Process accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely manner, ensuring accurate and efficient financial management.
- Bookkeeping and Record-Keeping: Maintain data on financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Payroll Administration: Process payroll to provide timely payment to employees, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, laws, and regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of work experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
- Skills: Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), proficiency in accounting software, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
