Job Title: Mountain Bike Trail Crew at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch

We are seeking a skilled and physically capable individual to join our Mountain Bike Trail Crew at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the general cleanliness of our bike paths and assisting with construction, repair, and maintenance of trails.

Responsibilities:
  • Clear debris and vegetation from trails and fix areas of erosion.
  • Assist with construction, repair, and maintenance of trails as directed.
  • Conduct safety inspections of trails, including emergency inspections following storm-related events.
  • Trim and remove vegetation using saws, axes, and other hand and powered cutting tools as needed.
  • Move and compact soil and stone using hand and powered tools as needed.
  • Dispose of debris using manually operated and powered vehicles.
Requirements:
  • Physically capable of carrying out the designated responsibilities.
  • Able to communicate effectively, orally and in written form, with other employees, supervisors, and the general public.
  • Possess skills, knowledge, and experience in operating and maintaining a wide variety of equipment, including chainsaws, blowers, weed eaters, and hedge trimmers.
  • Capable of operating mobile power equipment.
  • Ability to carry out minor repairs to small equipment and tools.
  • Sound working knowledge of trails, surfacing, drainage, erosion, and slope stability as they relate to trail maintenance.
