Job Summary

As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist at Sentara Healthcare, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of neurophysiological diagnostic studies in the laboratory, intra-operatively, and in the intensive care settings. You will operate and perform preventative maintenance on complex monitoring instruments, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct neurophysiological diagnostic studies using various techniques and equipment
  • Operate and maintain complex monitoring instruments, including electroencephalography (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) machines
  • Document all acquired data and results in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field, such as healthcare technology or medical imaging
  • Certification in neurodiagnostic technology, such as R. EEG T. or R. EP T.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
