We are a 25-bed, multi-specialty medical clinic and rehabilitation center located in beautiful, rural Craig, CO. Our clinic offers a unique opportunity to treat a variety of conditions, ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, orthopedics, post-op, sports medicine, vestibular/concussion, and long-term neurological conditions.

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time outpatient physical therapist with competency in outpatient orthopedics. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, value patient care, and be a team player. Our clinic offers 45-minute one-on-one treatments, 1-hour evaluations, and paid documentation time in a fun and professional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and interpret evaluations and test results to determine physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Diagnose and manage movement dysfunction and enhance physical and functional abilities.
  • Restore, maintain, and promote optimal physical function, wellness, and fitness, and quality of life as it relates to movement and health.
  • Prevent the onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, conditions, or injuries.
  • Recommend use of assistive devices and provide gait training, as deemed necessary.
  • Complete discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare workers, and contributing to patient care conferences.
  • Document patient care services via EMR charting using 'defensible documentation' in a timely and concise manner, in compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Develop rehab and hospital staff by providing information, developing, and conducting in-service training programs.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Requirements
  • Active Colorado Physical Therapy License (DORA).
  • Current CPR (BLS) certification (within 90 days of hire per MRH Policy).
