About the Role:
The Chautauqua Center Inc is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological treatment options to individuals with mental health disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with patients to discuss their concerns about their mental health
- Assess patients' symptoms to diagnose their condition
- Apply scientific treatment methods to help patients cope with or overcome their mental health conditions
- Diagnose and treat emotional, mental, and behavioral disorders
- Assess patients and provide recommendations for treatments
- Use literature and research to inform treatment decisions
- Provide patients with referrals to other therapists, clinics, or facilities as needed
- Participate in off-hours call rotation
- Conduct case management tasks
- Conduct administrative tasks
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Psychology or a Doctor of Psychology degree
- Patience and empathy when working with challenging patients
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and trustworthiness
- Critical thinking skills to make accurate diagnoses and recommend effective treatments
