About the Role

The RN provides skilled professional nursing care to patients, families, and caregivers as prescribed by physicians and in compliance with state regulations and Bluegrass Care Navigators policies.

Responsibilities
  • Provides nursing interventions autonomously in a home care setting
  • Cares for patients with various medical conditions, including those with PIC lines and IV lines
  • Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure quality care
  • Complies with Bluegrass Care Navigators Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current RN licensure through the State Board of Nursing
  • At least one year of general nursing experience, preferably in hospice, home health, medical, surgical, or critical care
  • Proficient in starting IV lines, caring for PIC lines, and providing various nursing interventions
  • Skilled in nursing practice, able to cope with family emotional stress, and tolerant of individual lifestyles
  • Complies with accepted professional standards and principles
  • Licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements
